Textile machinery in China showed a decreasing trend from 2003. During the same year, country imported machineries worth US $4.5 billion, in 2004, it dropped by $4 billion, next year, it slipped to $3.5 billion.
But a reverse trend has been evident since 2006, when China imported textile machinery worth $4.1 billion with a rise of 19.05 percent from 2005.
During the first four months of 2007, the country has already imported textile machineries worth $1.098 billion, increase by 35.26 percent as compared to the same period 2006.
Textile machinery market in China is worth $8 billion. Before 2006, most Chinese enterprises preferred to use domestic equipments. But this trend was changed when Chinese companies started adopting advanced technology to keep pace with the international market and top grade products.
However, Chinese companies now are trying to improve their technology of textile machinery.
