Christie's London has revealed that the Titanic survivor, Laura Mabel Francatelli's, life jacket was auctioned at £60,000 on May 16 to an anonymous bidder.
Francatelli's affidavit for Lord Mersey's inquiry grossed in £2,880 from another collector.
A Christie's spokeswoman said, ''We are delighted with the results today which shows the market for Titanic memorabilia as we approach the 100th anniversary in 2012 is really strong and could well rocket in price.''
Several other memorabilia like silver teaspoons and telegrams, from the doomed luxury ocean-liner that went down on its maiden voyage, also sold for whopping bids.
