Federal Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiatives, Jahangir Khan Tareen informed that the annual budget worth Rs 100 million will provide a boost for Pakistan's exports to the global market.
Addressing the PIDC Board of Directors meeting, Jahangir stated that the budget was designed to focus on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and would support small traders to participate in international trade exhibitions that showcase Pakistani products.
the traders who can not take part in international Trade Fairs and exhibitions without the government support, would be benefited through this plan, as government would bear the expenses of such exporters to introduce Pakistani products.
This initiative will help them in entering the potential markets for various goods including textile, garments, leather goods, medial equipment, rice and other finished goods in Middle East, Africa, European Union and other western countries.
The move is perceived as one which will increase exports of quality goods in global market including China, India, Vietnam and other countries.
