The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will host the 2007 America's Small Business Summit from May 24 - May 25 at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to insightful speakers, get involved in intensive breakout sessions that will focus on hot button issues pertinent to small businesses, take advantage of prime networking opportunities, and visit capital hill to check in with elected officials.
The 2007 Small Business of the Year Award sponsored by Microsoft adCenter, will be presented Thursday evening to recognize outstanding examples of entrepreneurship.
The speakers scheduled to appear at the summit will address major concerns presently facing small businesses. Key speakers include: Tom Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Newt Gingrich, Former Speaker of The House of Representatives; Bill Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard and FOXNews contributor; Donna Brazile, columnist for Roll Call, CNN contributor and campaign manager for Gore / Lieberman 2000; Margot Morell, author of the business bestseller Shackleton's Way; and Tom Sawner, CEO of Educational Options and 2006 U.S. Chamber Small Business of the Year Award winner.
