Consumer prices increase on average 0.5%

The inflation rate was 1.9% in April (1.5% in April 2006). Swedish consumer prices increased on average by 0.5% from March to April. The CPI for April 2007 is 289.79 (1980=100).

Higher prices for Clothing and footwear (3.0 %) contributed upwards by 0.2 percentage points to the monthly change.

In April, the underlying inflation rate according to UND1X was 1.2% (1.2% in March). The inflation rate according to UNDINHX increased to 2.1% (1.9% in March).

The monthly changes were 0.5% according to UND1X and 0.3 according to UNDINHX. The Harmonised Index (HICP) increased by 0.5% since March and has increased by 1.6% since April 2006.

The Net Price Index increased by 0.6% since March and has increased by 2.8% compared to April 2006.
