Beauty & Wellness expo opens at Dubai Int'l Centre

A three day exposition of Beauty world Middle East 2007 and Wellness and Spas Middle East 2007 started from May 20 to 22 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Around 1,000 exhibitors representing 1,300 brands from 55 countries are participating in the event. More than 10,000 visitors are anticipated to be present at the two exhibitions over the three days.
Statistics show that Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) consumers spend around Dh1,226 ($334) per head each year on cosmetics and perfume. The market in UAE alone is worth more than Dh1.5 billion in retail sales last year showing an 8.4 percent increase over Dh1.41 billion than the previous year.
