Waahdi shopping festival ends on a colourful note

A fashion show was organized on May 20, the last day of Waahdi shopping festival started on April 24.
The event was arranged by The Punjab Institute of Languages Art and Culture (PILAC), the Lahore Arts Council (LAC) and the Punjab Arts Council (PAC).
The fashion show presented women models wearing clothes like lachas, patiyala shalwars and ghararas, embellished with gold and silver beads and motifs and men displayed Kurtas and Dhottis. It was an evening of colours.
The show was based on themes like weddings, celebration of crop harvesting, which depicted traditions of Punjab.
Around 5000 people were drawn daily at the 24-day long festival.
