UCMTF: ITMA 2007- unique opportunity for textile machinery sector

France is the 5th textile machinery exporter worldwide. Together the 35 manufacturers' annual exports exceed 1.2 billion US Euros. They and their association, UCMTF, which is part of Cematex, the owner of the ITMA and ITMA Asia brands, are actively preparing next ITMA. ITMA 2007 will take place in Munich (Germany) September 13-20.
This major textile machinery show takes place every four years in a different European location. It is the only textile machinery show where so many machines are erected and many of them really work.
“It is a unique opportunity to meet so many people, to see so many machines in what I call the biggest textile factory worldwide, an 8-day only factory” states Evelyne Cholet, UCMTF's Secretary General.
This year, more than 1 000 exhibitors will attract more than 100 000 professional visitors. All the textile processes will be represented: spinning, weaving, knitting (circular and flat), dyeing and finishing, nonwovens, apparel manufacturing, etc.
The French manufacturers have put a lot of emphasis to prepare this event. They will present their “High Tech machinery for High Tech markets” summarizes UCMTF's Chairman Bruno Ameline, who adds “ in France we do not have big diversified groups but state of the art, very active and specialised SME's leaders in their sectors of application.”
For ITMA show, three French manufacturers, NSC Nonwoven, Rieter Perfojet and Laroche have decided to join their expertise and experience and highlight their synergy to demonstrate their capability to provide turnkey nonwoven lines to the nonwovens market.
They will show together on an island which will include two booths one for Laroche, one for Asselin-Thibeau and Rieter Perfojet. Thus these three independent companies will be able to offer complete lines to the nonwovens producers.
