He pointed out that Vaghela was aware that OPD treatment was not taken care of. The scheme has been launched last year under the direction of Vaghela.
Last year, a meager amount of Rs5 crore was disbursed and this year, the amount has been increased to Rs96 crore.
Vaghela spoke about the role of NGOs in the uplift of artisans and craftsmen in India. He stressed that transparency needs to be brought in administration. A self-less interest of NGOs will help improve the present status of Indian handicrafts industry, said Vaghela.
Vaghela also clapped eyes on small exhibition of handicraft products made by skilled artisans. The exhibition displays double Ikat Patan Patola, glass work, wood carving, zari zardosi work, Ari embroidery, embroidery patchwork, and bead work.
The first Health Card and Identity Card was handed over to Balubhai Chitara.
