Fashion Export Awards to take place on June 12

Jun '07
The next UK Fashion Export Awards will take place on 12th June 2007 at London's prestigious Landmark London hotel. UK Fashion Exports' President, HRH The Princess Royal, will attend the Reception and Lunch and present the Awards.

The Awards are designed to reward companies, irrespective of size, which have demonstrated export excellence. This year, the judging panel of industry experts will be looking for winners in 8 categories - each with a fantastic prize.

In addition, the Exporter of the Year award, sponsored by Landsbanki Commercial Finance www.landsbanki.co.uk, will be given to the entry which most impresses the judges; the Export Personality of the Year will be nominated by the industry.

The Awards are also sponsored by Marks and Spencer, the longest serving supporter of the event.

The Prize categories are:

New Exporter, for companies exporting for less than 2 years. Sponsored by FedEx: A financial package of support and global trade advice from FedEx valued at £20,000. The shortlist for this award is: Alison van der Lande, Blossom Mother and Child, Goat, Ramon Gurillo and Rocio.

Multi-channel Exporter recognises those companies which sell on-line and/or via a catalogue, as well as through shops and stores. Prize: A subscription to WGSN.com

Ethical Fashion, this year's new category, for companies demonstrating an ethical approach to fashion. Prize: A year's membership of UK Fashion Exports. The shortlist for this award are: Ciel, From Somewhere and Gossypium.
