During the week under report, the turnovers moved overall in manageable volumes. During the first days, quotations had further increased. There were indeed enquiries by the spinning mills - but the conclusion of contracts failed due to price differences which could not be bridged.
To the end of the week, in a falling market, several lots could still be sold. Content was shown by the trade only about the fact that sales for distant delivery- / shipping terms could be concluded.
In the Upland range were traded: Central Asian sorts for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarter 2007; West African types for the 2nd quarter 2007 and the 1st quarter 2008; Zimbabwe cotton for the 4th quarter 2007 as well as for the 1st and 2nd quarter 2008; Greek descriptions for the 2nd quarter 2007.
In the LS/ELS range, sales were registered in Egyptian GIZA 86 for prompt, also Sudan Barakat, and US-Pima for the 1st to 4th quarter 2008.
