Lanxess Co grabs huge market

China has become the largest market of Lanxess Company in Asia since 2005, accounting for above one-fourth of the company's total sales in Asia-Pacific region. Currently Lanxess Group has four production bases and two R & D testing centers, here.

Lanxess Company has established an engineering plastics production plant in Wuxi, its second production line will be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2007, thereby doubling the production capacity.

In addition, Lanxess Company will build a new ion exchange resin production plant in Asia through international tenders. Nanjing and Ningbo cities have been included in the list of candidates with other international cities to participate in the competition. The investment scale of the project will amount to 10 million euros.

In April of this year, Lanxess Company opened a new production factory for iron oxide materials in Jinshan, Shanghai, with an annual output of 20,000 tons of synthetic iron oxide production capacity. The plant produces high-quality, non-toxic iron oxide materials from scrap iron, and strictly abides the globally consistent environmental standards.

Lanxess Company's another production base in Taopu, Shanghai, sets up a dust filtration system to avoid industrial dust emissions into atmosphere.
