Carnival legend honoured at Caribbean Fashionweek

Caribbean Fashionweek commenced last Friday with huge pomp and ceremony at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston.
The event showcased exquisite creations from celebrated designers including Ashakai (Jamaica), Kbobby Collection (Barbados), KAJ Kelvin (Tobago), Posh Punk (Barbados), Mosiah (Jamaica), PAANG (Trinidad), Minka - Kumba (St Lucia), Poshe (Jamaica) and Lamica (USA).
Pulse Investments and producers of Fashionweek teamed up to award the legend in Fashion industry. Peter Minshall was honoured with the Smirnoff Fashionweek Originator Award for his matchless contribution over the years.
Minshall's unique carnival costumes have been called 'dancing mobiles'. He has also provided valuable designs for several international performance projects and opening ceremonies, like the 1987 Pan American Games, the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, the 1994 Football World Cup and the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
Pulse Investments CEO beamed tat the media that it was time that Minshall's work is recognized and presented the admiration it deserves.
