Local silk firms to jointly deal with India's anti-dumping case

The 'seminar of raw silk and silk fabric exports to India' organized by China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce was held yesterday in Chongqing City, 21 domestic silk enterprises decided to ally and jointly deal with India's silk anti-dumping allegation.
It is learned that India is the largest export market of China's raw silk and silk fabrics. In mid May this year, India's Central Silk Board again brought 22 Chinese silk enterprises to New Delhi Court, demanding heavier punishment on silk dumping.
India is the largest export destination for Chongqing silk products. From January to April this year, Chongqing silk exports to 14 countries reached US $12.1986 million, of which India accounted for nearly 90 percent.
