Meanwhile, swimwear collections from DC Kids, Marina Hernández and Oh Soleil are presented in Splash! And for the summer edition, collections for special occasions from Barcarola, Paqui Barroso and Ana M. Remesal - Bugui Bugui will be featured in Pasarela Magic Day. Fifteen brands were selected by an advisory committee comprising leading fashion journalists.
FIMI will also be hosting the prize-giving ceremony for the IMI Awards for Innovation in Children´s and Young People´s Fashion. Cri Cri won the Product Innovation Award for its incorporation of hydrating and anti-bacteria properties to baby clothes.
In the Innovation in Productive Processes category, the award went to Creaciones Suay for its innovative system of design management using an Internet platform.
Finally, the Marketing and Commercialisation Award went to Tuc Tuc, for the optimal approach of its commercial strategy to the product-market binomial.
The goals of these awards are to improve the competitiveness of Children´s Fashion companies through sustainable competitive advantages; to publicise new innovative techniques; to generate a greater sense of proximity in the sector; and, finally, to reward and recognise the efforts made by those companies and organisations investing in innovation within the industry.
With these awards FIMI wants to encourage companies to invest in innovation with a view to improving competitiveness in the face of imports.
