Business tycoon, Mukesh Ambani, the Chairperson of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) will be presented the United States India Business Council's (USIBC) 32nd Anniversary Leadership Award for 'Global Vision' on June 27, 2007 at Washington.
Earlier, USIBC had honored Ratan Tata, Managing Director of Tata Group. Ambani will now be the second Indian industrialist to be honored.
The inuagural session on June 27 will see welcoming remarks by Ron Somers, President, USIBC followed by inaugural remarks by H E Ronen Sen Ambassador to the United States, Government of India and State of the Council Address by Charles 'Chip' Kaye Chairman, USIBC and Co-President, Warburg Pincus.
Notably, James W McNerney Jr, Chairman and CEO, The Boeing Company is also being honored with the 32nd Anniversary Leadership Award for 'Global Vision' along with Ambani.
Ambani is expected to interact with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice along with some senior senate members on RIL's development plans in United States.
Chevron Chairman and CEO, David O'Reilly is also expected to join Ambani on this occasion.
