The nonwovens manufacturer J. H. Ziegler, Achern, Germany, reports that, owing to the good workload and growth in numerous markets, the nonwovens capacity will be significantly increased at the Achern site.

Following the opening of a Hungarian subsidiary last year, a further 4 million EUR will be invested in 2007. This brings the company's investments over two years to approximately one half-year turnover.

When the new facility starts operating at the end of the year, Ziegler will have more than doubled its nonwovens capacity within two years.

The Managing Director, Dr. Peter Hartwig, commented on this development: "Last year, we increased our turnover at the Achern site by almost 25% and also met our goals in Hungary."

In doing so, we have reached our capacity limits, particularly regarding technical products. We have always stated that the Achern site will be extended in the future.

"The fact that this will take place so quickly and comprehensively is also the result of the excellent work of our team and the successful support by our parent company, the Staufen AG."

The Staufen AG, Bad Boll, Germany a management consulting company, took over Ziegler in 2003 and has been assisting it in its corporate development.
