General Assembly of Bremen Cotton Exchange held on June 28

The 133rd General Assembly of the Bremen Cotton Exchange during its 135th year of business took place on June 28, 2007.
The members elected Mr. Rainer Hammer, Otto Stadtlander GmbH, Bremen, and Mr. Jürgen Knecht, Kulmbacher Spinnerei, Mainleus, as new Board members.
The newly constituted Board of Directors confirmed Mr. Lüder Vollers, Berthold Vollers GmbH, Bremen, as President and Mr. Carsten Frerks, Fürst, Papenburg & Co. GmbH, Bremen, as Vice-President for second year.
According to the by-laws of the Bremen Cotton Exchange, it is possible to carry on the honorary post of Presidency for a period of two years. Mr. Jan B. Wellmann is the Executive Director of the Bremen Cotton Exchange.
Guest speaker of the assembly, Mrs. Tina Stridde, Otto Group, Hamburg, informed the members about the sustainable textile range of her enterprise. Under the topic "Bio Cotton", she therefore addressed a theme recently late-breaking.
