Johanna Pursiainen from The Association of Fashion Retailers in Finland organizes training for fashion professionals.The training gives advice on promoting sales with the help of garments, interior decoration materials and colours.
The Young Designer of the Year is this year awarded for the 13th time. First organized in 1995 this competition is open for all students in fashion and the aim is to discover new talents, fresh ideas and solutions in design.
It also boosts the industry and encourages new talents. The winner receives a grant of 5000€ from the Finnish Fair Foundation, own fair stand at the Fashion Fair and the winner's designs are on display at the fashion shows. Journalist Jaakko Selin is the chairman of the jury.
