FCCISL partners with CBI Netherlands to promote exports to EU

The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) recently entered into an important partnership agreement with the Centre for Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI) of the Netherlands.

The purpose of the partnership is to contribute in creating economic development through direct support to the export sector and their intermediate organisations in Sri Lanka.

This association aims to generate synergies between the two organizations for the benefit of their clients and is built on the common mission to contribute to trade-led development by strengthening competitiveness among Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and promoting their participation in international trade.

The Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI) is an agency of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the responsibility of the Minister for Development Co-operation.

With the signing of this partnership agreement, FCCISL will become a partner of a global network of business support organizations which will benefit Sri Lanka in terms of information on economic scenarios, trends, services and products, best practices and issues on export to the EU market.

Within the framework of this partnership the following services will be provided to the exporter community in Sri Lanka;
Institutional development activities;
Technical cooperation;
