Exports to North Korea - the third largest destination - June exports rose 45.3 percent to 39.9 million baht.
January through June cotton yarn exports totaled 2.160 billion Thai baht, which reflected a 3.9 percent decline. While exports to China and Japan have declined, exports to North Korea have soared 177.9 to 271.7 million Thai baht.
Thai cotton yarn imports in June were flat at 184.4 million Thai baht. Over 65 percent of all imports came from China. January through June imports were down 16.4 percent at 965.2 million Thai baht. Nearly 55 percent of all imports came from China, with Pakistan and India being the other top suppliers.
