KARL MAYER celebrations to mark its 70th anniversary

As market, service and innovation leader, KARL MAYER has become firmly established on the international warp knitting sector – and in Obertshausen, the company's headquarters.

The enterprise provides work for many citizens, it offers training to young people, its buildings shape the townscape. KARL MAYER is involved in the social and artistic concerns and celebrates together with the inhabitants.

The recent occasion in this respect has been the 70th jubilee of foundation commemorated on 29th September by an open day starting at 10 o'clock in the morning.

With great pleasure, the promoters noted that already at the beginning of the event there was a large crowd lasting up to the end at about 3 o'clock p. m. "We could attract approx. 5 000 visitors by our program and were able to convince even the sceptics", stated Jürgen Feller, one of the leading promoters of the event.

"Old and young: all the guests were impressed by the manifold changes by means of which our company has prepared itself for the future within a very short time."

The optimizations and innovations were presented during a walkabout with signs at selected stations in the recently opened customer and development centre, in the sections of fabrication and assembly, in the logistics centre and in the Hausen factory. Modernity, ergonomics and efficiency were what the workplaces expressed and what the employees are proud of.

Likewise KARL MAYER's success also becomes evident from the fabrics manufactured on the company's machines, which almost surround everyone, especially every woman.
