INTEX & TEX-STYLES to be held concurrently

During Texsummit 2007, the industry had voiced that there should be a single large trade platform for the textile industry in India.
As part of the consolidation initiative, two successful trade fairs, Intex - international apparel Fabrics and Accessories trade fair and Tex-Styles have decided to hold both shows concurrently from 2008 onwards.
This would result in having the largest textile exposition in India thereby attracting more international and national buyers and making the combined event as the most important trade show for the textile industry in India.
There would be a clear demarcation of product categories between Intex and Tex-Styles so that they complement each other and do not compete with each other.
Intex would get participants for fabrics, accessories and fibers for the clothing industry along with other support services whereas Tex-Styles would get participants for Fabrics for Furnishings, Home Textiles, Yarns, Textile Accessories, Textile Gifts and support services.
The best part of this co-operation would be that the entire industry would get consolidated and there would be joint promotions which would ensure the largest buyer turnout ever for any trade show in India.
There would be 4 concurrent shows, Intex, Tex-Styles, Carpet Expo and Indian Houseware and Gift Show which can boast of a combined turnout in excess of 15,000 serious trade buyers.
The latest trends also indicate that the NCR (National Capital Region) region of New Delhi has emerged as the number one region for the textile and clothing sector in India with all the major exporters, manufacturers, designers and buying houses having shifted here due to strong infrastructure, availability of cheap land, labour and other facilities.
