In addition, the first-ever PiPN Intern of the Year was given to Katie Bowser, based on her outstanding performance.

All 2007 interns join the ranks of the PiPN Alumni Group, with free membership, student guest passes to upcoming TNNA shows for the next two years, and the opportunity to post their resume on TNNA.

The PiPN program is gearing up for another group of interns next summer, with a goal of involving 20 students. It accepts students from any college or university, although the course must be taken directly through the University of Akron's College of Family and Consumer Sciences.

PiPN 2008 will take place May 27-Aug. 8, 2008. The eight-week internship portion of the program runs June 16-Aug. 8, 2008.
