In January 2008, enterprises in Binh Duong Province earned US $531.3 million worth revenue, posting 0.7 percent rise compared to December previous year, said the official source of the provincial Government.
The key export products comprise of wood works from the province fetched $108 million for the country, with a year-on–year growth 16.9 percent. Textile and garment worth $86.2 million were shipped, up 38.7 percent, footwear totaled $66.7 million, surging by 18.9 percent and handicraft products touched $21.1 million.
Statistics revealed that enterprises with Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) have made the largest contribution towards the export figures of the province rendering a 38.2 percent growth, accounting for 73.8 percent of total exports turnover of Binh Duong.
On the other hand, in the month of January, the province imported $488.7 million worth of products, including machines, equipments, footwear materials and chemicals.
