Non-woven fabric production boosts up

According to the latest data released by National Bureau of Statistics, China's non-woven fabric production continued to rise to 67,700 tons in December 2007, an increase of 31.60 percent over the previous month.
China's total annual output of non-woven fabrics scored 6,10,700 tons in 2007, growing by 24.61 percent on yearly basis. Zhejiang Province became the largest producer by manufacturing 1,73,200 tons of fabric from January to December, boosting by 33.90 percent from the earlier year.
However, Henan Province fetched the fastest output growth, it produced a total of 16,400 tons non-wovens in 2007, rendering a growth of 223.13 percent over 2006.
Liaoning Province registered the largest production of non-woven fabrics to 8,197 tons in December, a rise of nearly 309 percent over the same period of previous year. Jiangsu Province produced 11,800 tons in December, a year-on-year growth rate as high as 96.02 percent.
However, Jiangxi, Hebei and Tianjin showed slight decreases. Tianjin's production reduced to only 8.29 percent compared to previous month.
