Apparel accessory export ameliorates in 2007

A recent statistical data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade(MOIT) show that in 2007 Vietnamese textile and apparel sector earned near about US $633 million from exports, registering a year–on–year growth of 25.9 percent.
In the month of December only, the export figures touched $63.66 million, which included products like suitcase, umbrella, bag and wallet.
By the end of 2007, Vietnam had shipped apparel accessories to 43 countries across the world, in which US market remained at the top with export figures reaching worth $204.72 million, followed by Belgium for $73.88 million and Japan totaling to $62.46 million.
