Corporations have started focusing personal core competences and the armed forces offered a vast, organized pool of trained and disciplined manpower, said Maj. Gen S G Chatterjee, Directorate General, Resettlement (DGR) of the armed forces.
With its countrywide network spreading from the top ministerial level to the villages, the DGR was also working on creating a single-point countrywide interface between the corporate HR departments and ex-servicemen, he added.
