The winter thermal underwear business boasts of more than 100 million Chinese consumers resulting in stiff competition among numerous enterprises for tapping marker share.

Earlier, thermal underwear largely came from flake knitting underwear for which a particular set of standard was issued by the Government in 2000.

However, non-flake thermal underwear with superior technology and more comfortable feel has replaced the conventional ones.

In fact a variety of these non-flake thermal underwear like Relika (orlon), Saiweika (polyester), Moka (elastic spandex) and others, have already started taking space in the market.

Faced with such wide range of options, consumers have been found confused. This is only a temporary phase since the National Textile Standards Committee will issue criterias for non-flake thermal underwear by spring of 2009 for guiding the buyers in their decision to get the best in the market.
