Fashion competition ends on victorious note

Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA), premier institution of the Government of Pakistan under Ministry of Industries, Production & Special initiative, was established to elevate the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the country.

The Women Business Incubation Center (WBIC) is an initiative of SMEDA, to provide support to women entrepreneurs of Pakistan. The first of its kind, inter-college fashion competition was organized from April 6 to 8, in WBIC.

The competition was arranged to encourage the students and offer them an opportunity to showcase their creations to eminent judges.

Shahid Rashid, Chief Executive Officer, SEMDA, and Ms Najeeba BG, famous fashion designer, were the chief guests for the show. Both the guests insisted the audience to use WBIC facilities to boost their businesses and to support the centre.

In this three day event, Hunarkadah won first prize, The College of Home Economics came second and Qasar-e-Behbood-e-Khawateen occupied the third place.

Shahid Rashid said that, the three winning organizations will be allowed to display their products for one week at WBIC.
