The latest marketing efforts in Japan made by Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI) has been immensely appreciated by wool growers across the world.

In particular, the Australian wool growers have a grand opportunity to increase their exports and thereby revenues, by way of expanding its commercial markets.

This 1.4 million dollar marketing campaign with five Japanese clothing companies, aims at increasing wool demand by another million kilograms over a period of three years.

Experts believe that more money should be spent on marketing Aussie wool because the industry really has the potential to flourish and create a niche for wool products in both the worlds of fashion and apparel.

According to some, any marketing strategy that increases the usage of wool must instantly be adopted for foreseeing a more vibrant wool industry.

Japanese market was once known for being very fond of Aussie wool and it was quite surprising that its been 10 years since the country had been targeted for wool exports.
