Wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for the three months ending February 2008 increased by 5.7% compared with the three months ending February 2007. The corresponding growth in 2007 was 9.2%.
Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for the three months ending February 2008 increased by 3.1% compared with the previous three months.
Wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for February 2008 increased by 7.7% compared with February 2007. The 7.7% increase is lower than the 9,4% growth for February 2007 compared with February 2006.
Wholesale trade sales, at current prices, for the three months ending February 2008 increased by 17.7% compared with the three months ending February 2007. The 17.7% increase is also lower than the 20.3% growth for the corresponding period in 2007.
The major contributors to the 17.7% increase in wholesale trade sales at current prices for the three months ending February 2008 compared with the three months ending February 2007 were dealers in dealers in machinery, equipment and supplies (+3.1 percentage points).
