FICCI to organize Conference on 'Indian Technical Textiles Industry'

FICCI is organizing a Conference on “Indian Technical Textiles Industry”.

The Conference will be inaugurated by Mr Shankersinh Vaghela, Union Minister for Textiles, as per the following schedule:

Day & Date : Tuesday, 22nd April 2008
Time : 10.30 a.m.
Venue : Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi-110001

Mr A K Singh, Secretary, Textiles and Mr J N Singh, Textile Commissioner, Government of India have also kindly agreed to address the delegates in the conference.

The objectives of the conference are to increase awareness about the applications of technical textiles amongst user industry in India; to deliberate on promoting growth and development of technical textiles industry in India with appropriate policy interventions; to bring together key players and stakeholders concerned with the technical textiles sector like manufacturers, traders, policy makers, user industry, R&D institutes, raw material providers etc and strengthen the partnership between these stakeholders

Leading experts from the industry (both India & abroad), Government and other areas would make the presentations and address the delegates.

Some of the applications areas that would be discussed in the conference are Defense, Healthcare (Meditech), Geotech (Roads, Highways etc.), Buildtech (Buildings, Houses etc.), Standardisation, besides other issues.
