Arkema raises prices for High Performance Polyamides

Apr '08
Effective May 1st, 2008, Arkema is increasing by 10% on average the prices of its Rilsan, Pebax, Platamid and Orgalloy high performance polyamides granules. The amount of the increase will reach 15% for dollar invoices, 10% for sterling pounds invoices and 5% for euro invoices.

These price increases have been brought on by a record escalation of energy, raw material and transportation costs, combined with an unprecedented currency evolution, which previous productivity programs and price adjustments have not been able to offset.

Arkema's Technical Polymers serve the global transportation, electrical & electronics, sports, oil & gas, and other industrial and consumer markets.

With global brands like Rilsan, Pebax and Platamid, unique products like Rilsan Polyamide 11 bioplastic and Pebax RNew, and leading capacities in Rilsan polyamide 11 and 12, Arkema's Technical Polymers stands out in the industry by providing its customers with global coverage and superior regional service from production facilities and research centers in Europe, Asia, and the USA.
