A new Matchmaking Program is being launched for Global Home Textiles and Global Home Decor, enhancing efficiencies for show participants on both sides of the aisle.

The program captures data from exhibitors and attendees in order to synchronize business needs and match supplier to customer. The shows will take place May 6-8, 2008, at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV.

A database of exhibitor information, including specific, in-depth products, services and manufacturing capabilities, as well as price points, year business established and number of employees, is being gathered into an expanded directory database.

Similarly, attendees registering for the shows are prompted to respond to a series of questions indicating their market needs.

All data is then be harvested to determine appropriate supplier-customer matches. Both exhibitors and pre-registered attendees will be given a list of compatible companies in advance of the show, identifying supplier-buyer matches.

“This innovative, tech-forward program will significantly benefit both attendees and exhibitors, and allow them to better plan their valuable time at the show,” said Penny Sikalis, GLM vice president, global business development.

“It will help attendees wade through the plethora of resources available to them in order to zero in on the exhibiting companies that can best fulfill their sourcing needs, and immediately put exhibitors in touch with the buyers that are best suited to their business profile.”
