Export to Europe to reaps rosy results

European Market Division under Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade has recently forecasted that exports turnover of Vietnam to the European market will reach US $12.15 billion, an increase of 22 percent compared to 2007.
The figures of bilateral trade between these two regions are expected to touch $20.54 billion, demonstrating a year–on–year growth of 22.5 percent.
Such calculations are made on the basis of strong developments that Vietnam achieved post WTO period, and increasing bilateral and multilateral agreements like FTA, ASEM between Vietnam and Europe have also helped in gaining trade revenues.
This is quite evident from the fact that in 2007, bilateral trade of Vietnam and Europe touched $16.74 billion, on–year, rising by 30.31 percent, where in Vietnam's exports turnover was $9.96 billion and the imports figure reached $6.77 billion.
