In order to boost bilateral trade and improve means of cooperation in agricultural field with Sudan, Saudi ministers of Agriculture, Trade and Industry will be visiting the country by the end of this month.

Diplomats from both the nations will discuss various ways in which they can enhance the business by venturing into new deals, in areas including agriculture and trade.

Sudan at present has more than 341 Saudi projects operating in the country. Out of which 107 are industrial ventures and nearly 22 agriculture based. The total investment made by Saudi Arabia came around US $3.4 billion last year.

In 2007, Sudan earned nearly $78.2 million by exporting commodities including leather products. However, the nation had to spend almost $501.5 million for importing goods like petroleum, chemicals and textiles.

It is expected that, this meeting will bring out profitable results that would increase trade volume and generate higher revenues for both nations.
