Hai Phong Govt eager to achieve high export targets

The local Government of Hai Phong city had set its export targets at the beginning of 2008. Authorities aspired to take export earnings to nearly US $534.56 million within first five months of this year.
The target if achieved would have showcased a year-on-year increase of 27.6 percent and account for 37 percent of its total 2008 targets. The key exporting products that will assist the nation earn huge revenue includes textile, garment and footwear.
On the other hand, the imports of Hai Phong have witnessed a remarkable surge. The city expended nearly $849.8 for buying products like textile, apparel and machinery for local consumption, showcasing a rise of 80.95 percent, when compared to same period of 2007.
