HYOSUNG, the second largest spandex producer in the world, has begun production of creora brand spandex in their new factory in Cerkezkoy, near Istanbul, Turkey.
“The factory in Turkey is part of our global growth strategy and we have invested because we are committed to the textile industry in Europe. Many European brands and retailers require production proximity to meet changes in market demand, so we are better positioned to ensure fast delivery to European & North African regional customers,” said President C.H. Lee.
“We also believe our state of the art facility using our patented technology, will provide the cost competitiveness the European central sourcing regions require” added President Lee.
The new factory in Turkey is producing creora lite fine dtex offerings (22 & 33) to meet the customer demand for lighter weight fabrics which Hyosung sees as a trend across all garment categories. In addition, production will include creora performance H-350 which is high power ideally suited for denim to resist aggressive denim finishing and high temperature dyeing of polyester.
