Nylon chips & PTA imports rise in Apr

April imports of nylon 6 chips for the domestic usage reached 59,500 tons, an increase of 2,400 tons over March, at an average price of about US $2,836 per ton.
Among importing countries, nylon 6 chips from Taiwan scored 30,500 tons, accounting for 51.3 percent.
According to customs statistics, China's April imports of PTA (Customs Tariff No. 29173611) reached 495,100 tons, an increase of 10,600 tons compared with March. The average price of customs declaration was at $952.01 per ton.
Imports of other terephthalic acid (Customs Tariff 29173619) marked 83,600 tons, down 27,600 tons from March, the average price of customs declaration was at $923.52 per ton.
Among importing countries, nylon 6 chips from Taiwan scored 30,500 tons, accounting for 51.3 percent.
