Yarn market shows negligible change on June 2

PTA, MEG prices went up, semi-dull and bright polyester chips were in price consolidation, CDP chips as well as PET bottle slice prices corrected on Monday, June 2.
Acrylic Staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm prices moved sideways, while the CPL, nylon 6 slice prices were stable.
Polyester filament trade volume recorded little change, with coarse FDY alone marked hot trend. Porous fine POY prices in Shengze market gained 100 yuan per ton, while some factory quotations of FDY bright raised 100 yuan per ton.
Overall, DTY sales were blocked due to huge inventories of conventional texturized fabrics in the downstream markets. Purchasing activities from texturized plants and weaving factories slowed down, therefore, future prices of polyester filament are expected most likely to stay in consolidation.
Yarn market also showed almost no change, except rayon yarn and polyester/viscose yarn whose rates declined. Cotton yarn and polyester yarn remained in consolidation state. On the day, PSF was in stability, with latest market central price was at 11,150 yuan per ton.
VSF prices fell again. Latest market price focused at 16,300 yuan per ton, down 100 yuan from last weekend.
Price outlook of rayon yarn is expected to continue a downward trend.
