MEG prices for July contract witnesses a relative hike

MEGlobal has recently announced the contract price for Asia for monoethylene glycol (MEG) for the month of July which is marginally up compared to the qouted in June.
Official sources confirmed Fibre2fashion that the MEG prices are pegged at US $1260 per metric ton which reflects a $60 per metric ton hike compared to June which stood at $1200 per metric ton.
In fact, the July price is also higher than the current ruling spot prices in the region presently staged at $1155 per metric ton.
MEGlobal is a world leader in the manufacture and marketing of monoethylene glycol (MEG) and diethylene glycol (DEG), collectively known as ethylene glycol (EG), a raw material used in the manufacture of polyester fibers, polyethylene terephthalate resins (PET), antifreeze formulations and other industrial products.
