Chemical fiber production mounts up in April

According to the statistics provided by the China Textile Circulation Association, in April 2008 domestic production of chemical fiber reached 519,520 tons, an increase of 52,426 tons or up 11.22 percent from the previous month, representing a year-on-year gain of 17,087 tons, up 3.40 percent.
April sales registered 506,026 tons, rising by 40,171 tons or 8.62 percent from the previous month, registering a yearly decline of 17,915 tons, or 3.42 percent.
April stock marked 282,624 tons, showing a growth of 23,241 tons or 8.96 percent from the previous month, depicting a year-on-year rise of 147,399 tons, or 109 percent.
April production and sales rate stood at 97.40 percent, down 2.33 percentage points from the previous month.
