Booming non-woven sector lures local entrepreneurs

Experts have anticipated that non-woven industry in China will record rapid development, especially due to new limitation law imposed on plastic bags by the Government.
Recognizing the forthcoming golden period, industry players are eagerly preparing to grab maximum opportunities.
In addition to use the domestic equipments, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan and other key provinces are importing non-woven cloth production lines, so as to upgrade production.
Currently, annual output of Chinese non-woven cloth industry is increasing by over 10 percent.
Besides, it has been noted that import of non-woven fabric has also gone up significantly. Statistics report that import of the product from the US in 2006 grew 67.5 percent.
On the other hand, Chinese non-woven cloth export to the US climbed by 28.5 percent during the year.
Non-woven cloth can be used in many fields from medicine to automobile sectors. Analysts believe that, with the growing economy, these industries are also registering impressive progress. Thus, it has become important for China expand its import of non-woven cloth.
