Bettina Glamsch has been appointed the new product manager of two specialist trade fairs organized by Koelnmesse: IMB – World of Textile Processing and IMB-Forum – Information Technology for the Textile Processing and Apparel Industry. Glamsch succeeds Jan Pohlschmidt, who has left the company of his own accord.
Bettina Glamsch, 42, is far from unknown in the sector, as she worked as Area Segment Manager for the sewing machine manufacturer Dürkopp Adler before switching to Koelnmesse. Prior to joining Dürkopp Adler, she was Managing Director of the Clothing Industry Research Association in Cologne, which is why she is quite familiar with the city despite having been born in Spires. Glamsch has a degree in clothing technology.
In her new position, Glamsch plans to contribute her many years of experience to the benefit of IMB and the IMB Forum. “I have known and appreciated IMB for many years now and I therefore look forward to tackling this new challenge,” says Glamsch.
“IMB is a first-rate international business platform that receives momentum from the sector while also generating important new momentum of its own. To strengthen and expand this key function of the event, I plan to work together closely with Koelnmesse's entire IMB team.”
