According to the latest official statistics, in the first 7 months of this year, the export value of Chinese textile and clothing reached around US $100.35 billion, registering an increase of only over 7.66 percent than the same period of 2007. Nevertheless, the growth-rate continues to go down.
Of this, the clothing product export value touched $62.49 billion, up 3.4 percent, while that of textile yarns and fabrics was more than $37.86 billion, marking a rise of 24.4 percent, as compared to same period last year.
The export value of shoe products stood at $16.55 billion, recording a year-on-year climb of 14.2 percent during the period.
Experts estimated that although Chinese Government has increased the rate of the export rebate from 11 to 13 percent, the export situation of China in the second half of this year will be similar.
They explained that the effects of rebate adjustments will be visible only in or after October.
