Huntsman to raise TiO2 prices in North America

The Pigments division of Huntsman Corporation announced that it will increase prices of TIOXIDE R-FC5, TIOXIDE TR28, TIOXIDE A-HR, TIOXIDE A-HRF, TIOXIDE A-PP2, TIOXIDE R-XL, TIOXIDE R-TC30, TIOXIDE TR92, TIOXIDE TR50, and TIOXIDE TR52 pigments sold in North America by $0.05 per pound (USD) and $0.05 per pound (CAD) effective from 1st of September 2008 or as applicable contracts allow.
Despite efficiency improvements and ongoing cost reduction programmes, Huntsman said that the price increases are necessary to address the significant increases in costs of primary input chemicals, energy and freight affecting our industry.
