CRI is proud to announce the addition of 13 new cleaning solutions under the CRI Seal of Approval Program, upping the total to 222 products now certified in the program. The trend of more and more solutions earning certification as word continues to spread that some carpet manufacturers have made a decision to tie carpet warranties to the use of CRI SOA- approved products.

EcoLoab has five new products certified in the program and Peaches 'n Clean of America brings in another three along with two from ProChem and one each from Soft Surfaces Maintenance Services, Oreck Manufacturing and New Dawn Manufacturing.

EcoLab, based out of St. Paul, MN earned certification for its FaciliPro Carpet and Upholstery Prespray Cleaner (Pre-spray), FaciliPro Carpet & Upholstery Extraction Cleaner (In-tank), FaciliPro Dual-Action Spot Remover (Spot Remover), FaciliPro Carpet & Upholstery 3 in 1 Cleaner (In-tank) and FaciliPro Carpet & Upholstery 3 in 1 Cleaner (Pre-spray).

Peach 'n Clean of America, Inc., headquartered in Montgomery, AL, earned certification with the Peaches N Clean All Purpose Spotter (Spot Remover) , the Peaches N Clean Traffic Lane Cleaner (Pre-spray) and the Peaches N Clean Rinse Free (In-tank).

All Fiber Rinse (In-tank) and Ultrapac Pre-Treat with LVC (Pre-spray) were the two products from ProChem which join the list. ProChem is located in Chandler, AZ. Soft Surfaces Maintenance Services, out of Scarborough, Ontario, had its Soft N Safe (Spot remover) certified, while Oreck Manufacturing, out of Cookeville, TN, had the Full Release Carpet Cleaner (In-tank) and New Dawn Manufacturing Company, of Upper Marlboro, MD, its Triad product (in-tank).

Each of these products passed a series of stringent tests performed by an independent laboratory in order to make the list of cleaning solutions. The tests for spot removers, pre-sprays and in-tank solutions include protocols for efficacy (removing stains), resoiling (whether the product attracts soil at an accelerated rate), pH (excessively acid or alkaline products can affect dyes and fibers), optical brighteners (can adversely affect color, appearance and performance) and colorfastness to light (residues on pile yarn can accelerate color change).
