ITEMA Weaving regards the ITMA ASIA/CITME a great success in regard to the number of seriously interested visitors, but especially, because of the positive comments about our outstanding machinery portfolio from present and future customers. During the exhibition, ITEMA Weaving announced the new company structure:

The 4 companies, Sultex, Promatech, ITEMA Weaving Machinery (China) and First were moulded into a new “one” company model. This means, one group management, one sales- and service organisation, one group marketing & product management department, one head quarter and finally, one integrated supply chain and data system.

The resulting synergies and consolidation of extensive expertise and experience are clearly benefiting our customers with regard to flexibility and productivity at the best performance / price ratio:

ITEMA Weaving has participated in ITMA ASIA/CITME with a strong presence. The renowned brands Sulzer Textil, Vamatex, Somet and Fimtextile, a complete range of machines, accessories and services are proven and were most convincing.

The strong and ongoing R&D commitment, which takes advantage of the synergies generated by pooling experience within the group, resulted in:

• The most comprehensive range of Rapier Weaving machines representing the brands Sulzer Textil G6500 for highest requirements in technical & industrial fields, Somet Alpha for home textiles & upholstery applications, Vamatex Silver HS for high-speed apparel styles. Active Rapier Technology (ART) – the most innovative development for a controlled and active weft insertion created great interest. Furthermore, the re-engineered K88 rapier weaving machine is the result of experience gained and synergies created within the Euro-Chinese organizations of the company.

• The development of the air-jet machine family L5500 / Mythos E-Tec and the new L88 with the least air consumption of all air-jets. The new L88 weaving a delicate synthetic fabric at the exhibition demonstrated great performance, ease of operation and new quality stan-dards in cloth manufacturing.

• Further development of the Sulzer Textil P7300HP Projectile machine. The model pre-sented at ITMA ASIA/CITME, with a weaving width of 540 cm, was once again demonstrating the great potential of this ageless machine, especially in the widest width
