TTRI holds 2008 Textile CEO Sodality

Recently, Taiwan Textile Research Institute (TTRI) sponsored 2008 Textile CEO Sodality, in which over 40 CEOs from renowned textile enterprises participated.

The event was based on the theme of 'Investment in Future Brands and Innovation'. Several meetings and conferences were held here.

The Board Chairman TTRI, Wang Yakang said that the strategy to offer particular quality and timely delivery has proved to reap success in the past.

However, now, the times have changed and it is important to manufacture high value-added products depending on advanced technology and IT resources.

The brand marketing will play a very important role in the development of Taiwan textile industry.

Some experts pointed out that Taiwan was not very strong in low-priced markets, which is dominated by China Mainland, South Asia, Bangladesh and other such countries.

Thus, Taiwan textile industry must focus on innovation, brands, research and development and attempt to establish a firm foothold in middle and high range markets.
